Transportation Engineer 3’s in the Division of Traffic Engineering lead the development of projects and initiatives that enhance the safety, capacity, and efficiency of Connecticut’s transportation system. They manage and coordinate traffic designs, studies, and investigations on state roadways to address complex roadway and multi‑modal challenges and reduce crashes by researching and applying innovative solutions—such as modern roadway configurations, traffic signals, signs, and pavement markings—proven to improve safety and save lives.

Newington, CT - Hybrid (in‑office/telework) and alternate work schedules may be available
- Salary commensurate with education and/or experience
- Applicants must be available to travel for training, conferences, meetings, field reviews, etc. both within and outside of normal working hours, when necessary.
- Applicants must possess and retain a valid driver’s license.
