Responsibilities of an Infection Control / Wound Care Nurse
:
Develop and implement infection control programs to prevent and identify the spread of infectious agents in a healthcare environment.
Conduct audits on infection prevention practices and provides education to staff members as well as comply with mandates for state and federal public reporting.
Assess and treat residents with complex wounds, ostomies, or continence conditions.
Qualifications for an Infection Control / Wound Care Nurse
:
Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN)
Valid CPR certification
Two (2) years of professional nursing experience in a long-term care environment
