About This Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Newington Pediatrics will provide nursing care and support to patients while collaborating with the care team. This role is ideal for a compassionate nurse who enjoys working in a pediatric setting and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Highlights- Pay: $28.94 – $51.63 per hour

- Schedule: Full time, 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday, 4 10-hour days, including one Saturday shift every 6 weeks
- Support the care team and its patients by providing and documenting nursing care following established standards and practices.
- Provide patient care and education and assist in locating and coordinating services from other providers and resources.
- Serve as liaison between patients, staff, and providers.
- Document all patient interactions and other clinical activities accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Act as a member of the care team, including preparing patients to be seen by collecting and recording height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, head circumference, current medications, and chief complaint.
- Triage patients according to approved protocols and consistent with Pro Health's Appointment and Scheduling Guidelines.
- Answer and document patient phone calls; take complete messages and route to providers as needed using the EHR.
- Provide and document patient care such as giving injections and performing preventive screenings.
- Educate patients regarding their illness or injury and provide instruction regarding self-management of their condition.
- Schedule tests, treatments, and follow‑up visits on behalf of patients.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Experience: 1 year of nursing experience.

Certifications:
Currently licensed as an RN in the State of Connecticut; BLS/CPR certification preferred.
