Responsibilities
As a member of the Imperial Service Team, you’ll manage and grow a dedicated client portfolio through key relationship management, creating comprehensive financial plans and providing exceptional client service. You’ll handle a large portfolio and help clients plan for today’s needs and tomorrow’s goals. You’ll proactively engage with many new and existing clients to make lasting connections and understand their goals, build their financial plan using advanced CIBC tools, and give them the right advice to help them make well‑informed choices for the future.
You’re flexible to work on banking centre hours, including evenings and weekends, and you may need to work at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance. You must be on‑site full‑time.
- Client engagement – Focus on each client experience and connect on a personal level to make every interaction meaningful.
- Deliver trusted investment advice and create personalized financial plans to enhance existing relationships.
- Business development – Understand your local market, create a comprehensive sales plan that converts leads into new clients, build connections, and deliver bottom line results.
- Leverage CIBC’s broad range of credit and investment solutions to provide a needs‑based approach that results in satisfied, loyal clients and increased referrals.
- Community involvement – Heighten CIBC brand awareness in your community by attending local events and participating in marketing and outreach activities; grow your network to create lasting connections for future opportunities.
- You have a postsecondary degree or diploma and/or at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- You are a certified professional (Registered Representative with CIRO‑;
Personal Financial Planner, Certified Financial Planner, or Qualified Associate Financial Planner designation). - For Quebec candidates: you have current accreditation and good standing in AMF licensing, and you have completed the Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC) or Canadian Securities Course (CSC) to support AMF licensing; you may also be a Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC).
- It is an asset if you have completed the CSI/ICB Investment and Taxation Fundamentals Course – Quebec (0774) and the CSI/ICB Legal & Ethical Aspects of Financial Planning Course (0790).
