Job Summary
Our client is looking for a Finance Manager – Funds for a 21‑month contract opportunity. The Manager will oversee all aspects of administration and reporting for the client’s fund, working closely with senior finance and investment teams, and is supported by a Senior Corporate Accountant and the Finance Executive Assistant.
Responsibilities- Fund Administration – Overall responsibility for the administration of all aspects of the fund’s operations, including credit facility management, preparing calls and distribution notices, and handling investor relations.
- Financial Reporting – Timely and accurate preparation of quarterly reporting packages for the fund and feeder vehicles in accordance with Canadian accounting standards for private enterprises (ASPE). Maintain general ledgers, chart of accounts, and process all financial transactions.
- Valuation – Collaborate with investment teams to perform quarterly valuation of the fund’s investments in accordance with ASPE and International Private Equity Valuation Guidelines.
- Audit & Review Process – Plan and coordinate annual audits for the three parallel partnerships, including confirmations and working papers.
- Income Tax and HST Compliance – Partner with the Director of Tax to prepare tax kits for advisors, review drafts and final returns, and produce supporting working papers for HST filings.
- Planning – Prepare tax‑planning forecasts as required.
- Process Improvement – Assist in developing policies, practices, and controls for financial transaction processing and reporting.
- Other Tasks – Support the Director Fund Administration & Reporting on additional projects, including reporting for other funds.
- CPA designation.
- Proficient with MS Office, especially advanced Excel.
- Experience using Investran.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage diverse assignments with high accuracy and timeliness.
- Exceptional attention to detail and process compliance.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and proactive issue resolution.
- Flexibility to adapt priorities as needed.
$55.00 / Hour
