Finance Manager - Funds
Our client is looking for a Finance Manager – Funds for a 21‑month contract opportunity.
Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of administration and reporting for the client’s fund, working closely with the Director Fund Administration & Reporting, other Managers of Finance, Controller, Director of Tax, CFO, and the investment professional group.
- Overall responsibility for administration of all aspects of the fund’s operations, including the fund’s credit facility (draws, repayments, reporting), preparing all call and distribution notices, and handling investor relations.
- Timely and accurate reporting of all financial and management information related to the fund and feeder vehicles, preparing quarterly reporting packages (financial statements, notes, LP capital account statements, activity review/accounting issue memo, and other analysis).
- Maintain general ledgers and chart of accounts, and process all financial transactions accurately and promptly.
- Work with the Director Fund Administration & Reporting and investment teams for quarterly valuation of the fund’s investments in accordance with ASPE and International Private Equity Valuation Guidelines.
- Plan and organize the annual audit of the three parallel partnerships, coordinating all matters necessary to complete audits.
- Work with the Director of Tax to plan, organize, and prepare tax kits for tax advisors, review draft and final returns, and prepare supporting working papers for annual HST filings.
- Prepare tax‑planning related forecasts as required.
- Assist with the development of policies, practices, and controls for processing all financial transactions and reporting.
- Assist the Director Fund Administration & Reporting with other projects, including reporting and administration for additional funds.
- CPA designated.
- Experience with MS Office, including advanced Excel.
- Experience with Investran.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to balance a broad variety of assignments with high accuracy, timeliness, and follow‑through.
- Acute attention to detail to ensure all processes are followed and financial information is reported appropriately.
- Demonstrated ability to identify potential issues, strong problem‑solving skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring prompt resolution of issues.
- Proven ability and willingness to be flexible and change priorities as required.
Pay Rate: $55.00 / Hour.
Benefits may include discretionary bonuses, medical, dental, vision coverage, and a 401(k) retirement plan. A salary range is disclosed pursuant to local law where applicable.
