Position: Senior Financial Analyst with Budget Focus
Join our finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst, overseeing budget preparation and analysis for regional governments. Your financial acumen is crucial in delivering timely and accurate financial reports.

In this role, you will utilize your 2 to 5 years of financial accounting experience to assist managers with budgeting and reporting processes. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile investments, and deliver variance analysis to ensure effective financial oversight. Strong project management skills are essential to succeed in this demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual agency budgets and financial reports

• Assist with month-end close and financial statement reviews

• Conduct financial variance analysis and revenue recognition

• Prepare and reconcile year-end audit schedules

• Post and prepare payroll journal entries as needed

Requirements:

• Completion of post-secondary education

• 2-5 years of experience in finance, accounting or budgeting

• Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial software tools

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work effectively in a deadline-oriented environment
