Electrician/ Electrician Installation, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Scope of Position
Working under the guidance of our experienced maintenance Electricians, provide all departments with safe, well-maintained equipment, while ensuring quality and the ability to meet production requirements in a timely manner. This role is crucial for developing the next generation of skilled labour at Multimatic C-Mech.
Key Responsibilities- Support and work with maintenance Electricians.
- Under the direction of an Electrician, ensure that all associated lighting and power are in proper working order and meet all codes and company procedures.
- Perform all electrical work under the guidance of an Electrician including repairs on all equipment and machinery as required, including backup to assembly line programs (including PLC-HMI-robot-camera-screw gun), creating and modifying a line program and die wiring.
- Responsible for completion of necessary paperwork including work orders/time sheets/log board entries/line book revisions as required in a timely manner.
- Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement suggestions on the production line.
- Submit part requests and follow the parts received procedure.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance as required.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, tidy and organized work area.
- Work in a safe manner at all times.
- Work in compliance with the provisions of OHSA and the regulations.
- Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.
- Responsible for fulfilling all apprenticeship requirements.
- Perform other duties as required (i.e. special projects).
- Work in compliance and conform to IATF
16949 and ISO
14001 standards.
- Minimum Grade 12 Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be an Ontario registered 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year Electrical Apprentice or completed Ontario College technical training and seeking to accumulate on-the-job hours.
- Able to rotate day and afternoon shifts as required.
- Good communication skills (written and oral).
- Computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Office, Excel and Outlook.
- Manufacturing experience; automotive industry experience is an asset.
- Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems is an asset.
- Omron PLC & HMI, Keyence camera systems knowledge is an asset.
- Self-motivated and passionate about pursuing a long-term career in the trade.
The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be: $43,971.20 - $70,907.20
