Analytical Chemist – Immediate Start

Location: Cambridgeshire
Contract: Contract
Start Date: Immediate

CY Partners are currently working with a leading scientific organisation in Cambridgeshire who are looking for an experienced Analytical Chemist to join their team on an immediate-start basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned analytical scientist who can quickly integrate into a busy laboratory environment and make an immediate contribution to ongoing projects.

The Role

As an Analytical Chemist, you will be responsible for supporting analytical testing and laboratory activities, working to high standards of quality and accuracy. The role will involve a combination of routine and investigative analysis, data interpretation and collaboration with wider scientific teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing analytical testing using a range of established analytical techniques.
  • Interpreting analytical data and producing accurate, well-documented results.
  • Supporting method development, validation and/or transfer activities where required.
  • Investigating analytical issues and contributing to troubleshooting activities.
  • Maintaining accurate laboratory records in line with appropriate quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across analytical, development and wider laboratory functions.
  • Ensuring laboratory work is carried out safely and in accordance with relevant procedures.
About You

We are looking for an experienced Analytical Chemist who can hit the ground running and is available to start immediately.

You will ideally have:

  • A strong background in analytical chemistry with industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience with techniques such as HPLC/UPLC, GC, LC-MS, GC-MS, UV or other relevant analytical instrumentation
    .
  • Experience interpreting analytical data and investigating unexpected results.
  • A methodical and detail-oriented approach to laboratory work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a wider team.
  • Immediate or very short-term availability.
