Salary: £46,000 - £47,000 per annum + Overtime
Hours:
Monday to Friday, Day Shift (45 hours per week)

The OpportunityAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a well‑established business operating across East Anglia. This role is ideally suited to a mechanically biased engineer with experience maintaining heavy plant and industrial equipment, looking for a varied position offering strong earning potential, excellent benefits, and long‑term career development.
Working across multiple sites, you will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, equipment reliability, breakdown response, and supporting ongoing plant improvement projects.

- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on heavy plant and site equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, plant shutdowns, and emergency call-outs.
- Support site improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and reliability initiatives.
- Maintain, inspect, and repair a range of heavy plant machinery.
- Work collaboratively with operations teams, maintenance personnel, and external contractors.
- Travel between sites throughout East Anglia as required.
- Recognised engineering qualification or equivalent hands‑on experience within heavy engineering.
- Previous experience working within a heavy industrial, quarrying, recycling, aggregates, waste, manufacturing, or similar environment.
- Strong mechanical maintenance background.
- Solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience maintaining equipment such as:
- Conveyors
- Crushers
- Screeners
- Excavators
- Dumpers
- Other heavy plant machinery
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Basic electrical fault‑finding and maintenance experience.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Experience working in a field‑based or multi‑site maintenance environment.
