Job Summary

The Pipe Coordinator completes the entire process of discipline‑specific CWPs (Construction Work Packages) and IWPs (Installation Work Packages), including development, implementation, and tracking of progress for basic projects. The role assists the Discipline Superintendent in identifying and resolving problems or issues related to material deliveries, generates material takeoff/bill of material for CWPs and IWPs, and supports monitoring and reporting on completion of contractor/craft punch list activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning, developing, issuing, and progress tracking of all CWPs and IWPs for basic projects.
  • Participating in all integrated planning sessions associated with IWPs.
  • Producing discipline‑specific IWPs for basic projects.
  • Coordinating with discipline superintendents and/or general foremen to ensure that the IWPs are released to the field with their buy‑in.
  • Assisting the Discipline Superintendent in verifying engineered quantities, coordinating construction contractor/craft commodity curves, and collaborating with Project Controls.
  • Verifying commodities installed and monitoring weekly work completion status.
  • Assisting the Discipline Superintendent in resolving problems or issues related to design information, schedule, change management, safety, and quality.
  • Assisting the responsible Field Engineer with Requests for Information (RFI) and managing the documentation flow.
  • Interface with the Discipline Field Engineer to provide constructible responses.
  • Assisting the Discipline Superintendent in identifying and resolving issues related to material deliveries.
  • Generating material takeoff/bill of material for CWPs and IWPs.
  • Compiling IWP turnover information returned from the field for basic projects.
  • Reviewing and monitoring contractor/craft Look‑Ahead Schedules for assigned work scope.
  • Coordinating information with the Superintendent and Project Controls.
  • Assisting in reviewing craft timesheets/charge codes.
  • Maintaining a daily log for site records.
  • Supporting monitoring and reporting on completion of contractor/craft punch list activities.
  • Supporting commercial recovery process (RFMP, WA, Back charge, etc.).
  • Gaining knowledge in areas outside the primary discipline.
  • Potentially acting as a lead.
  • Actively promoting the safety culture.
  • Interface with Superintendent, general foreman, foreman, craft personnel, and vendor representatives.
  • Monitoring vendor representative (supplier) daily logs and approving their timesheets.
  • Compiling and maintaining conformed construction records.
  • Assisting the Field Quality Assurance Manager in performing inspections and verifications of tests.
  • Supporting continuous improvement efforts.
  • Individual contributor with no subordinates.
  • Interface with Superintendent, general foreman, foreman, craft personnel, construction manager, and vendor representatives.
Minimum Qualifications

All applicants must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements, which may include a criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; 4‑year degree preferred.
  • Typically 2+ years of construction or construction management and/or design experience in similar facility construction.

    • Working knowledge of cost control, scheduling, engineering drawings, and other documents.
    • Ability to perform material takeoffs and field estimates.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations.
    • Ability to work with ambiguity and solve problems.
    • Advanced Excel skills.
