Yokogawa Corporation of America is seeking a Process Engineer with a strong background in Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma to support manufacturing operations. This role focuses on proactively investigating, simplifying, and standardizing processes before automation or digital solutions are implemented. This also includes evaluating and optimizing current digital solutions and processes. The Process Engineer will work cross-functionally with Production Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Software Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Investigate and document manufacturing and business processes (AS-IS / TO-BE).
* Develop standardized work instructions, process maps, and visual controls.
* Lead process improvement, and Kaizen activities.
* Define clear, automation-ready processes for software and DX projects.
* Collaborate closely with Production Engineers, Quality, and Software Engineers.
* Support data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.
* Own and lead process improvement initiatives from identification through implementation and sustainment.
* Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve material and information flow.
* Eliminate inter‑departmental stagnation in support of Yokogawa's total supply chain optimization goals.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* 3-5+ years of experience in manufacturing process engineering or continuous improvement.
* Hands-on experience applying Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma tools.
* Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
* Ability to work directly onsite on the shop floor.
Preferred Qualifications
* Project Management experience
* Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
* Experience with TPS or similar production systems.
* Experience supporting manufacturing automation or digital transformation.

* Ability to clarify complex or ambiguous processes.
* Strong documentation and communication skills.
* Comfort working in cross-functional engineering teams.
* Self-directed execution to drive initiatives to completion with minimal supervision.
* Ability to take end-to-end project ownership & accountability.
