A rapidly growing transportation and logistics organization is seeking an experienced Controller to lead all financial operations across a multi-entity, asset-based platform. This role serves as the senior financial leader responsible for accounting integrity, cash management, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning.

The Controller will be a key business partner to executive leadership, providing insights that drive profitability, scalability, and long-term growth. This opportunity is well-suited for a hands-on financial leader with experience in logistics, transportation, or other asset-intensive environments.

Key Responsibilities Lead all accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and tax

Ensure accurate, GAAP-compliant financial reporting and strong internal controls

Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and working capital

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Deliver financial insights and performance analysis to executive leadership

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes

Partner with operations on growth modeling, capital needs, and profitability

Support pricing, expansion, and acquisition-related financial decisions

Manage tax filings, audits, and external advisors

Build, lead, and scale the accounting function, systems, and processes (Net Suite)

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred)
7+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience
Background in transportation, logistics, or asset-intensive operations strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax, and financial compliance
Proven experience managing multi-entity financials and intercompany transactions
Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience
Strong leadership, communication, and executive-level business partnering skills
Working knowledge of Net Suite
