THE CLIENT

Our client is the US-based operating subsidiary of a world leader in heavy, off-road machinery. They are a global brand experiencing exciting growth across North America. They serve customers across North America with a commitment to reliability, innovation, and customer-first service.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This role will serve as the strategic technology leader for our client's enterprise applications. It offers a strategic seat at the table with executive exposure. This is not a maintenance role; it is a mandate to modernize, lead, and transform. You will own the full lifecycle of our ERP, CRM, and custom application portfolio, lead a high-performing team of IT professionals, and partner directly with the VP of Process & Systems and senior business leadership to drive technology-enabled competitive advantage.

The team is ready to grow under strong leadership.

THE DUTIES
  • Strategic Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive IT systems strategy aligned to the company's business objectives. Collaborate with the VP of Process & Systems and executive stakeholders to identify technology needs and deliver solutions that drive efficiency and growth. Contribute to the IT roadmap and multi-year budget planning process. Stay current on emerging technologies and drive adoption of innovations that deliver competitive advantage.
  • Enterprise Application Management Oversee the full lifecycle of enterprise applications — ERP, CRM, custom solutions, and other business‑critical platforms. Ensure the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of all systems and infrastructure. Manage vendor and external partner relationships for software, integrations, and support services.
  • Software Development Leadership Lead and mentor a team of four developers, architects, and QA professionals. Establish and enforce best practices for development methodologies, coding standards, and quality assurance. Manage the project portfolio — ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives. Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Team & Talent Development Recruit, develop, and retain top IT talent. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide meaningful coaching and feedback. Create career development pathways that keep high performers engaged and growing.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership Work closely with HR, Finance, Operations, Sales, and Product Support to understand business needs and translate them into technology requirements. Serve as a trusted technical advisor to non-technical business stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication between IT and all business units.
THE EXPERIENCE NEEDED
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing systems and development teams.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale ERP and CRM platforms across the full lifecycle.
  • Deep knowledge of system architecture, databases, networking, and security principles.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern architectural approaches strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling.
  • Strong project portfolio management skills — scope, budget, timeline, and quality.
  • Change management expertise; ability to lead organizational and technical transformation.
  • Exceptional communication skills — able to translate technical complexity for executive and business audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field required;
    Master's degree preferred.
