Forklift Operator

Marathon Staffing is seeking a Material Handler I to manage the movement of material from inventory to production and back to inventory. The role includes maintaining correct paperwork and production records as required while working under immediate supervision with specific direction and instructions.

• Shift: 1st shift Monday – Friday
• Hours:
  
  7:00 am – 3:30 pm
• Salary: $18.00 to $19.00 /hr.

• Provide production departments with material from inventory according to the production schedule
• Move material in the process from one station to another (if necessary)
• Band, wrap, and/or pack finished goods, and label material
• Move finished goods from the production area to finished goods inventory (yard or warehouse)
• Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment
• Complete pre‑shift/startup equipment checklist and report any problems or concerns
• Maintain rough material and finished goods inventory yard in an organized and clean condition
• Complete production records as required
• Follow forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
• Perform other duties as required

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
• No minimum experience is required; however, forklift driving experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques
• Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process
• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Ability to work in a safe manner
• Ability to recognize material type, gauge, length, et cetera
• Demonstrates ability to follow specific instructions and directions
• Demonstrate ability to stack material properly
• Ability to pay attention to surroundings

This position is located in Newnan, GA. Team members have reliable transportation.
