Position OverviewRegistered Nurse – GU Outpatient Clinic. The RN provides nursing and case‑management services to patients and families, ensuring coordinated and comprehensive care throughout the patient's healthcare journey.
Responsibilities- Assess, coordinate, plan, monitor, implement, and evaluate each patient’s plan of care, ensuring optimal clinical and financial outcomes.
- Work a rotating schedule:
Monday‑Friday 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. and Monday‑Thursday 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m. - Provide direct and indirect nursing services in support of physicians, including patient education and symptom management.
- Assess patients’ clinical and life issues, coordinate care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary health‑care team.
- Monitor and address symptoms and side effects of chemotherapy and other oncology treatments, and educate patients and families about disease and treatment plans.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient education in the electronic medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Communicate effectively with the health‑care team and patients to ensure coordinated care.
- Promote teamwork and excellent customer service to increase patient satisfaction and achieve positive outcomes.
- Adhere to facility policies, regulatory requirements, and best nursing practices, including central line care, medication administration, and procedure assistance.
- Cover for team members, respond to patient calls and drop‑ins promptly, and meet hospital turnaround‑time goals.
- Current Georgia RN license.
- BSN required or enrolled within 6 months of hire; BSN completed within 3 years from hire date.
- BLS certification (obtain AHA certification within 30 days of hire).
