Overview

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate each patient’s care. The nurse functions within the framework of the organization’s policies and procedures, demonstrates professional growth and accountability, maintains standards of practice, and coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff to deliver quality nursing care.

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, applying nursing processes, following policies, maintaining standards, and coordinating staff activities to ensure quality care.

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required)
• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)

• No experience required;
  New Graduates of a nursing program eligible (Required)
• Nursing experience in a hospital setting (Preferred)
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions (Preferred)

• RN – Registered Nurse – Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure. Current license in Georgia as Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. (Required)
• BCLS – Basic Life Support (Required)
• Advanced certification in specialty field, if applicable (see addendum)
