Registered Nurse, Outpatient Clinic at City of Hope.
ResponsibilitiesProvides nursing and case management/disease management services to clients and families, supporting the coordination and management of patients’ health needs across the continuum. Demonstrates the ability to assess, coordinate, plan, monitor, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring optimal quality, clinical, and financial outcomes. Performs assessments of clinical and life issues, supports physicians in direct and indirect patient care.
Must work full-time Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Assessment and Coordination
:
Assesses patients’ clinical and life issues, coordinates care plans, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. - Disease Management in Oncology
:
Requires expertise in oncology, chemotherapy, side effects, monitors symptoms, educates patients and families about disease and treatment, and addresses quality of life issues. - Documentation and Communication
:
Timely and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record; effective communication with the healthcare team and patients. - Patient Education and Support
:
Provides education, supports informed decision‑making about treatment options, and ensures access to ancillary services and resources. - Team Collaboration and Customer Service
:
Facilitates communication and collaboration among team members, patients, and families; promotes excellent customer service and patient satisfaction. - Adherence to Policies and Procedures
:
Performs tasks according to facility policies, regulatory requirements, and best nursing practices, including central line care, medication administration, and procedure assistance. - Efficient Service Delivery
:
Covers for team members, responds promptly to patient calls and drop‑ins, and meets hospital turnaround time goals.
- Current Georgia RN license.
- BSN from an accredited college (required) or enrolled within 6 months of hire, completed within 3 years from hire date.
- BLS certification (Obtain AHA certification within 30 days of hire).
