• Assume accountability and responsibility as a professional nurse for providing total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient‑centered care for an assigned group of patients.
• Provide direct patient contact: assess patients, develop comprehensive nursing plans of care, implement care to meet identified outcomes, evaluate effectiveness, and educate patients/caregivers requiring infusion therapy and other nursing services.
• Follow established nursing objectives, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Practice within the defined scope of practice for the Registered Nurse and commit to providing safe, quality infusion nursing care.
• Work 9:00a.m. to 9:30p.m., 3–12hours per week between Monday and Friday.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments; collect and document patient data, toxicity screens, allergies, medications, and diagnostic results in the EMR.
• Identify patient needs, prioritize care, and communicate condition changes to physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications, chemotherapy/biotherapy, IV fluids, and blood products in accordance with ONS and hospital standards.
• Provide patient and caregiver education on disease processes, treatment side effects, procedures, and discharge instructions; document understanding.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations; advocate for patient rights and ensure safe, ethical care delivery.
• Coordinate care across disciplines, perform effective handoffs, and uphold infection control and equipment safety standards.
• Evaluate patient outcomes, document variations in care, and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Delegate and supervise nursing care; support staffing needs and participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Maintain professionalism, flexibility (including floating as needed), and a collaborative, team‑focused approach.

• Current State Registered Nurse License – required.
• Bachelor of Science Degree – required, or enrolled within 6months of hire and completed within 3years from hire date.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required; if not AHA certificate, must be obtained within 30days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – preferred; if not, must be obtained within 30days of hire.
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy certification – required; if not, a Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card must be obtained within 30days of hire.
• Minimum 2years in oncology and/or medical‑surgical units – preferred.
• Experience in a multi‑disciplinary approach to patient care.
• Excellent infusion‑therapy skills (peripheral and central lines).
