Licensed Practical Nurse Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver nursing care for incarcerated patients in accordance with clinical protocols and state regulations
• Administer medications, treatments, and routine health assessments, documenting all care accurately
• Support physicians and mental health providers during sick call, chronic care, and urgent evaluations
• Triage patient health requests and prioritize care to ensure timely, appropriate interventions
• Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with correctional and clinical standards
• Collaborate with custody staff to promote a safe, secure healthcare environment
• Provide health education and discharge instructions to patients as appropriate
• Assist with orientation, training, and guidance for nursing and support staff
• Monitor infection control, medication storage, and clinical supply levels
• Participate in quality improvement and audit activities to improve patient outcomes
