You’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on the newest and best maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry, helping customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road.

Our facilities are clean and we provide all the necessary major shop tools.

Work schedule: 6a‑230p Tuesday thru Saturday
Work location: 12 St Johns Circle, Newnan, GA 30265

• Ensuring vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Performing preventative maintenance repairs such as tire replacement or rotation, component lubrication and replacement, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles
• Partnering with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1‑2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
• Excellent customer service, communication, and teamwork skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to understand and comply with Penske’s instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by management
• Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies, including correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and best safety practices
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Position requires driving Penske and customer vehicles, requiring a current driver qualification file. This includes an annual motor vehicle records check, a completed DOT Physical, and relevant safety performance history. CDL holders must undergo DOT drug screening within 30 days of start and be subject to an FMCSA Clearinghouse review.
• Willingness to work the required schedule, accept the specific location, complete the Penske employment application, submit to a background screening (including criminal checks, past employment, and education), pass a drug screen and physical as required by the Department of Transportation, and be open to near‑geography travel for training

• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg). The position also requires the ability to push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 lbs.
