Our Distribution Centers are hiring full‑time associates for multiple roles to support the day, night, and weekend shifts. Pet Smart offers four 10‑hour weekday shifts or three 12‑hour weekend shifts. Shifts vary by location.

As a Pet Smart Operations Manager, you will work as an integral part of our supply chain leadership team. You'll have the opportunity to work in several areas of the DC such as order fill, replenishment, services, or fish warehouse. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Leading DC Operations Supervisors who manage teams of up to 30 associates in a behavior‑based performance culture
• Talent development through emphasis on everyday performance management tools, systems, and resources
• Overseeing daily planning, organizing and operations of a distribution center
• Balancing workloads as needed to achieve production and delivery goals
• Communicating daily goals, recognition, and areas of focus
• Leading teams in an ever‑changing environment
• Coaching and leading supervisor team to follow policies and safety standards
• Effective talent management through interviewing and selecting talent
• Communicating to senior leaders and across the business
• Utilizing software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track production metrics, and anticipate and solve opportunities

• Passion for pets and people and the desire to grow a fulfilling career
• 4–6 years of leadership experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to apply basic instructions and procedures and respond to standard requests which may be written, oral, by headset or walkie talkie
• Ability to bend, twist, stretch, push, pull and carry and lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable alternating between standing, sitting and walking for an entire shift typically 10‑12 hours
• Willing and able to operate powered industrial and mechanical equipment including, but not limited to, reach truck, standups, dock stocker and push carts (proper training and safety standards provided)
• Work in various temperatures and noise levels
• Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment where priorities can change quickly
