Our client is an investment management firm looking to add a staff accountant to their team. The staff accountant role supports the personal investment vehicles and entities of its founding partners — offering rare exposure to real estate, investments, and high-net-worth structures.
Required:- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
- 0-3 years of experience in Accounting, open to straight public accounting or private accounting backgrounds (family office a plus)
Summary:
- Prepare reconciliations and analyses of bank account, brokerage, loan, and inter-company accounts.
- Record transactions (e.g., cash receipts, cash disbursements, and investments activity)
- Prepare journal entries on a timely basis in support of the month-end close process.
- Assisting with processing and running 1099’s for all entities
- Preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP
