Senior Tax Accountant

• Prepare and review federal and California state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts in Newport Beach.
• Provide proactive tax planning strategies and advisory services tailored to client needs.
• Research and interpret tax regulations to ensure compliance with current federal and state laws.
• Review work prepared by junior staff, providing training, guidance, and quality assurance.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax strategies, compliance, and filings.
• Assist clients with IRS and state tax notices or audits as needed.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency in Newport Beach operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or EA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in tax accounting, public accounting, or tax advisory.
• Strong knowledge of federal and California state tax regulations.
• Proficiency with tax software and accounting platforms.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and client engagements independently.
