Accounting Manager (PE-Backed SaaS & IoT Leader)

Location: Hybrid – Orange County, CA (Newport Beach/Remote)

The Opportunity

Alliance Resource Group is searching for a high-caliber Accounting Manager to join a private equity-backed leader at the intersection of SaaS and Smart Hardware. With a global presence and a clear push toward profitability, this firm offers the complexity and stability that top-tier accounting talent seeks.

The Role

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a direct report, providing guidance for their professional development.
• Technical Accounting: Oversee the month-end close and ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606 for both subscription and hardware streams.
• System Power User: Ensure the integrity of financial data within Net Suite and drive process improvements across the accounting tech stack (, Avalara, Expensify).
• Global Complexity: Handle intercompany transactions, cost allocations, and multi-state tax filings for domestic and international subsidiaries.
• Audit & Tax: Lead the year-end audit process and manage local, state, and federal tax reportings.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 5–12 years of progressive accounting experience, with a heavy emphasis on SaaS companies.
• Systems: Extensive, hands-on experience with Net Suite is required
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a CPA is desired but not required.
• Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.

Work Structure

• This role is Hybrid. Working 1-2x per week in office, with occasional travel.
