Senior Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

The Senior Accounting Specialist is primarily responsible for processing and maintaining fixed assets, prepaid accounts, and executing a variety of financial processes including month‑end and year‑end closing, general ledger reviews, variance analysis, account reconciliations, and assisting with quarterly regulatory reporting.

• Responsible for monthly fixed assets and prepaid accounting
• Supports daily liquidity and funds management
• Prepare general ledger certifications (e.g., correspondent bank accounts, asset/liability general ledger accounts and bank control accounts) and applicable schedules
• Assist in the month‑end close process and reporting, including variance analysis
• Assist in preparing the quarterly Call Report and supporting schedules
• Supports preparation of various analytical reports and information
• Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies
• Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Collaborate with different departments to achieve deliverables on financial reporting
• Build and maintain rapport with internal stakeholders and external agencies involved in the financial reporting process
• Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned
• Expected attendance in office

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
• Commercial banking accounting experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Minimum intermediate proficiency in Excel

The employee is responsible for understanding and following the Bank’s BSA/AML policies, including elevating suspicious activity to the BSA Officer. Additionally, the employee is required to understand and follow the Bank’s compliance program.
