Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Newport Beach, California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property accounting and a solid understanding of accounting principles. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage a variety of financial tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to verify financial data and resolve discrepancies.

- Oversee the full-cycle month-end close process, including journal entries and financial reporting.

- Conduct CAM reconciliations and ensure compliance with lease agreements.

- Utilize Yardi software to maintain accurate financial records and reporting.

- Prepare and analyze corporate tax returns and sales tax filings.

- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and complete.

- Collaborate with the team to manage accounting for medical office buildings and senior housing properties. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting or a similar role.

- Proficiency in Yardi software is required.

- Strong knowledge of corporate tax and sales tax processes.

- Demonstrated ability to handle CAM and bank reconciliations.

- Experience with full-cycle month-end close procedures.

- Solid understanding of general ledger management and journal entries.

- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
