Overview

Manager, Planning and Purchasing

Location:

Responsibilities
  • Ensure continuous production through demand planning, sourcing, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Lead escalation resolution for confirmation and delivery issues.
  • Manage domestic service contracts and supplier relationships.
  • Develop and coach a small team of buyers and planners.
  • Represent the site to the global procurement team and internal functions.
  • Continuously improve processes, eliminate waste, and develop supporting IT systems.
  • Lead demand, supply, and purchasing activities for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Maintain short-, mid-, and long‑term material plans considering capacity, lead times, and yield.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Sales to align supply plans with business objectives.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for inventory, material availability, cost, supplier performance, and on‑time delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and trade requirements.
  • Utilize ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP) for data‑driven decision making.
Qualifications
  • BS degree (Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent) required, MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience managing planning and purchasing.
  • SAP experience required; SAP MM preferred.
  • Significant experience managing material purchasing and service contracts.
  • Proven sourcing and commercial negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and high‑volume data processing.
  • Solid domestic and international logistics management.
  • Advanced ERP and planning tools expertise.
  • Leadership experience with high‑performing teams.
  • Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
  • Financial acumen for cost control, budgeting, and working capital.
Compensation

$130,000/year – $137,000/year
