Senior Manager, Architecture

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Architecture, contributes to the planning, design and construction of new apartment communities. The architect ensures all projects meet company standards for design excellence, livability, and long-term value. Responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to bring Irvine Company’s vision to life.

• Manages design process from conceptual design through delivery
• Conducts site evaluations and feasibility studies to inform design decisions, taking into account local zoning, building codes, and environmental considerations
• Creates innovative and functional designs that prioritize resident experience, sustainability, and aesthetic appeal
• Prepares and reviews architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents
• Stays abreast of industry trends, advancements, and best practices in architecture and design
• Collaborates with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to develop and implement architectural plans for new apartment communities.
• Coordinates construction drawings and schedules

• Detail oriented, strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up or related software
• Proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Proficient in Bluebeam or related software

• Bachelor’s degree in an architecture discipline or related field

• 8+ years of experience in the design of apartment/multi-family housing and mixed-use projects

• Valid California driver’s license;
  Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law. (This role requires the regular and frequent operation of a vehicle, as defined in the Company’s MVR policy, and is part of the essential duties of this position.)

Base Pay Range: $ - $

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
