Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Site Plan Drafter to join our architecture and design team. This position plays a critical role in developing precise site plans, researching zoning requirements, and collaborating with the development team to ensure compliance with design standards. The ideal candidate should have strong drafting skills, be proficient in AutoCAD, and have a foundational understanding of zoning codes and site planning principles.
This role works directly with our development manager and requires strong client management and communication skills.
We are a design-forward architecture firm in our 15th year, scaling our practice from a single office in Newport Beach into a multi-office platform across the US. Our architectural focus is in industrial ground up development. We’re hiring a Site plan drafter who thrives at conceptual design and problem solving, collaborative team work and working in a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities- Draft and develop detailed site plans using AutoCAD and other drafting software based on project requirements.
- Conduct zoning research to ensure compliance with local regulations and site-specific constraints.
- Review site designs with the Development Manager to incorporate feedback and necessary revisions.
- Stay informed about site design standards, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure all drawings meet current requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and planners to integrate all necessary design elements into site plans.
- Attend site development meetings to discuss design progress, challenges, and coordination with other teams.
- Maintain organized project files, revisions, and documentation to ensure seamless workflow.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
- Strong understanding of site planning, zoning research, and local building regulations.
- Ability to interpret and incorporate survey data, grading plans, and utility layouts into site plans.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to work efficiently with team members and clients.
- Experience in Revit is a plus but not required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in AutoCAD.
