Validation Engineering Intern

Job Description:

Our product lines include high speed (GHz) ICs for optical media access and signal transport. These products are tested by bench-top lab equipment in block, chip and system level before moving to production.

Specific Responsibilities:

* Provide help to senior validation Eng. In configuration/set-up of test equipment and hardware.

* Provide Support in programming and creating automation scripts for test automation.

* Monitor and understand product features by reading data sheet and design documentation

* Create draft validation report and data logs.

* Coordinate final data review with senior validation Eng. Support semiconductor process technology (e.g. support designers and interface with foundries as necessary)

During the 12 weeks each Intern will:

> Be given an individual and well-defined project with set outcome goals

> Gain hands on experience

> Receive excellent training and ongoing supervision

> Be invited to attend an intern webinar series

> Attend networking/social events

> Attend and present at Poster Session about each Interns project successes and pitfalls

> Receive formal, written feedback

Qualifications/

Skills:

* Candidate must be presently pursuing BSEE or MSEE in Electrical Engineering

* Lab skills and experience with lab equipment is a plus

* Experience in C# programming is required

* Good planning and organizational skills

* Good interpersonal and communications skills

* Good problem-solving and analytical skills

* Ability to work well in a team environment

* MS Excel and VBA macros

The Salary Range for this position is $29 - $34 per hour. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates' experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
