Looking for a Wet Etch-Process Engineering Manager. In this role, you will lead, manage, mentor, and develop a team of process engineers and technicians within the wet etch area of a semiconductor manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for sustaining process control, driving process improvements, supporting capacity expansion, overseeing process development and technology transfers, improving quality, and leading cost-reduction initiatives.
You will collaborate closely with operations, equipment engineering, integration, and R&D teams to deliver high-quality products on schedule and to customer specifications. You will also engage with cross-site technical peers to benchmark performance and implement best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and develop a team of process engineers and technicians, setting clear expectations and providing consistent coaching and feedback.
- Monitor and maintain control of wet etch processes to ensure stable, high-quality manufacturing performance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and lead root cause analysis efforts to prevent recurrence.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Increase operational flexibility by qualifying processes across multiple tool platforms.
- Support the qualification and ramp of new equipment.
- Partner with operations and equipment engineering to resolve manufacturing challenges and meet output targets.
- Serve as a key technical resource, providing expertise and guidance to the team.
- Develop process specifications for new technologies and transition qualified processes into production.
- Support capital planning efforts by justifying and implementing new process equipment to meet technology and capacity needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-site teams to implement best practices.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance environment with strong ownership and accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of wet etch process engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
- 3+ years of leadership experience within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineering talent.
- Strong technical knowledge of wet etch processes, materials, and integration challenges.
- Experience working with industry-standard wet process equipment platforms.
- Solid understanding of advanced CMOS and/or RF wafer processing technologies and device yield interactions.
- Proven ability to lead teams and solve complex technical problems.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience with DOE methodologies and statistical analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems and statistical software tools is a plus.
