Structural Engineer

We currently seek a high‑caliber Structural Engineer for a direct hire position within our client’s team of experienced professionals in Newport Beach, California.

Our client is a mid‑level to senior‑level candidate in Structural Engineering with a minimum of seven to ten years of experience in the design of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures for both new and existing construction within the Orange County office.

• Perform and may oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of projects.
• Collaborate with architects, owners, and contractors to provide well‑coordinated, high‑quality structural drawings.
• May lead a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to execute structural designs.
• Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design.
• Show interest and ability to advance to a senior engineer or project manager position.

• B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering required.
• Master’s degree in structural engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in the structural design of buildings or similar structures. Experience in DSA and/or HCAI projects preferred.

• Experience with computer analysis software systems.
• Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable consulting architectural practices.
• Ability to build and maintain a strong team of professionals and support staff within a cooperative multidiscipline office performing at a high level of satisfaction to clients.
• Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills.
