Job Description

You will be responsible for performing advanced level repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance for semiconductor equipment in the Diffusion area. You must demonstrate ability to take a leadership role in evaluating and providing maintenance requirements to ensure maximum availability of production equipment. Interfaces with Production and Engineers to identify and resolve process-related issues and provide technical guidance to other lower-level technicians.

You will determine methods and procedures for new assignments. You may also be an informal team leader, lead or direct the activities of the area shift pass‑downs, and set priorities based on production requirements for the rest of the team. You must be able to work on difficult tasks as an independent contributor and in a team environment.

Shift: Wednesday - Friday and every other Saturday from 5:30 pm - 5:45 am

  • You can perform complex machinery problem solving of semiconductor equipment in a production environment for the Diffusion area and participate on problem‑solving teams.
  • You have the ability to work under the direction of an Equipment Engineer and/or Engineering Manager to plan and execute improvement project initiatives.
  • You are able to develop your own resources to solve problems and provide imaginative solutions to a broad range of difficult problems, producing significant results.
  • You can analyze recurring equipment failures and suggest innovative technical solutions or new work methods.
  • You can lead and direct activities to develop or improve existing semiconductor equipment maintenance procedures and systems.
  • You can collect equipment‑specific performance data and work with Engineering to develop and implement solutions to equipment‑specific failures based on collected Pareto data and tool deficiencies.
  • You can provide technical, equipment‑specific training to lower‑level technicians.
  • You can interface with and direct vendor support to resolve equipment‑related failures.
  • You have the ability to perform diagnostic troubleshooting and repair on malfunctioning equipment to component level, as needed.
  • You have the ability to take a lead role in resolving process issues and participate in yield investigations.
  • You can use proper judgment to resolve problems and carry out assignments, making recommendations.
  • You can participate and lead or direct ERT/Safety events when supervision is absent.
  • You can ensure all required parts are on order and follow up as needed to minimize equipment MTTR.
  • You must be able to work independently with minimal support.
  • You can work on assignments that are complex in nature, requiring in-depth evaluation of data and variables.
  • You can lead important and high‑complexity technical projects.
  • You can be a recognized technical expert and demonstrate proficiency in more than one major production or test area.
  • You can interface with all Production, Process, Facility, and support functions to identify and resolve production‑equipment related issues and provide technical guidance to other lower‑level technicians.
  • You can act independently to determine methods and procedures for new assignments.
  • You can work in a fab clean‑room environment.
Job Requirements
  • Associate of Science degree with an emphasis in Electronics or equivalent.
  • 5+ years technical experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of advanced electro‑mechanical systems operations and maintenance, and the ability to work with minimal or no assistance.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic theory, vacuum and pneumatics theory, principles of electrical circuits, motor control systems, and test procedures, and the ability to troubleshoot to component level.
  • Direct working experience with Applied Materials Producer, Novellus C1/C2 Sequel/C2 Speed/C2 Altus is desirable.

Compensation:
Sr 2 – $34.00/hr – $42.00/hr
