We are seeking an experienced Wet Etch Process Engineering Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team within our semiconductor manufacturing facility. In this role, you will oversee wet etch process operations, ensure stable and high-quality manufacturing performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This is a critical leadership position responsible for sustaining process control, improving yield and quality, supporting capacity expansion, leading process development and technology transfers, and executing cost-reduction strategies.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver products that meet customer specifications and production timelines.
Salary Range: $185k to $208k
Key ResponsibilitiesLead, manage, mentor, and develop a team of process engineers and technicians.
Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
Maintain and improve wet etch process control to ensure stable manufacturing performance.
Troubleshoot technical issues and lead root cause analysis efforts to prevent recurrence.
Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
Qualify processes across multiple tool platforms to increase operational flexibility.
Support new equipment qualification and production ramp activities.
Partner with Operations and Equipment Engineering to resolve manufacturing challenges and meet output targets.
Serve as the subject matter expert for wet etch processes.
Develop process specifications for new technologies and transition qualified processes into production.
Support capital planning efforts, including justification and implementation of new process equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-site teams to benchmark performance and implement best practices.
Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field required.
Advanced degree preferred.
8+ years of wet etch process engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
3+ years of leadership experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Strong expertise in wet etch processes, materials, and integration challenges.
Experience with industry-standard wet process equipment platforms.
Solid understanding of advanced CMOS and/or RF wafer processing technologies and device yield interactions.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineering talent.
Proven track record of solving complex technical problems.
Strong analytical skills, including DOE methodologies and statistical analysis.
Experience supporting equipment qualification and capacity expansion initiatives.
Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems and statistical software tools is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Collaborative mindset with experience working across operations, equipment engineering, integration, and R&D teams.
