Job DetailsAre you a dynamic, detail-oriented, and innovative Structural Engineer with a passion for designing and analyzing building structures? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with a focus on the design, analysis, and detailing of structural systems. You will be working in a fast-paced environment on a wide variety of projects, ranging from residential to commercial and industrial structures.
This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
- Design and analyze structural systems for various types of buildings and materials, including steel, concrete, and wood.
- Use structural software programs such as AutoCAD, ETABS, SAP
2000, STAAD Pro, and other related software for designing and modeling structures. - Perform seismic design and analysis, ensuring all designs meet local, state, and federal seismic codes and regulations.
- Participate in the development of structural design standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
- Review and approve structural shop drawings and material submittals.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify compliance with design.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, specifically in the construction industry.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Proficient in structural analysis and design software such as AutoCAD, ETABS, SAP
2000, STAAD Pro. - Knowledge of seismic design and steel design is crucial.
- Strong understanding of building codes and structural engineering standards.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proven track record in managing all phases of structural design, from conceptual design to construction administration.
- Ability to travel to do site visits and inspections.
