Director of Investments and Corporate Analytics

BKM Capital Partners is a growing firm, and we are looking for hardworking professionals that want to grow with us. Located in our Newport Beach, California office, and reporting to the CFO, the Director of Investment and Corporate Analytics (ICA) will oversee 3 major areas of financial analysis:
1) corporate financial planning and analysis;
2) asset analysis and reporting; and
3) portfolio analytics and modeling. The ICA team integrates corporate and investment analysis into a singular function to leverage scale and infrastructure, while preserving the focus and expertise needed to excel in each discipline. The ICA team is also the business architect and sponsor of the BKM’s data warehouse and structure.

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead high‑performing analytical teams, redesign and automate reporting functions, and apply innovative modeling and analysis techniques to drive corporate and investment performance. BKM has committed significant resources to this area of the business to stay ahead of the exponential growth the firms the experienced, which is expected to continue in the coming years.

The ICA team helps drive investment decisions, corporate strategy, and is critical in the delivery of client‑facing information.

This role is 100% in office due to the collaboration nature of our business.

• Partner cross‑functionally with Asset Management, Fund Finance, Investor Relations, Acquisitions, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment on core business needs and strategic objectives.
• Oversee the evolution of reporting tools and valuation templates to ensure accuracy, relevance, and scalability.
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for executive‑level decision‑making.

• Lead the corporate financial planning and analysis function. Develop modeling tools to assess revenue and profit impact of multiple scenarios, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Create reports and analytics for the execute team to monitor cash flows, revenues, expenses, budgets, and other key business drivers.
• Develop real‑time variance reporting for all key business drivers.
• Drive the firm’s budgeting process to ensure resources are allocated to the highest priority objectives.
• Develop KPI’s and trending metrics to measure business financial performance against goals.

• Monitoring & Reporting:
  Evolve and improve asset‑ and fund‑level metrics, identifying trends or issues impacting portfolio returns.
• Resource Allocation:
  Work with Asset Management to prioritize properties and capital projects by assessing return potential, project timelines, and investor expectations.
• Attribution Analysis:
  Conduct deeper evaluations of capital projects and operating initiatives to identify key drivers of success or underperformance.
• Develop detailed Asset Business Plans (in conjunction with the Asset Management team) that define the execution plans to reposition assets at acquisition.
• Partner with the Portfolio Management team to deliver detailed asset level information to the firm’s separate account and Joint Venture investors.
