The Banking Relationship Specialist (BRS) is responsible for providing excellent customer service and sales while performing teller transactions for clients at branch locations. This role may require acting as both a Banking Relationship Specialist and a Teller when branch traffic increases, assisting with account set‑ups, completing administrative forms, resolving account problems, and conducting essential follow‑up with clients in accordance with Bank policies and procedures.
EssentialDuties
- Consult with clients and prospects about their financial goals and needs and identify and promote F&M products that best meet those requirements.
- Actively cross‑sell Bank products and refer clients to other F&M departments for additional needs.
- Address and resolve client concerns to maintain valued relationships.
- Open new personal and business accounts and perform maintenance in compliance with established policies.
- Explain Bank procedures, prioritize work to maximize customer service, and utilize strong problem‑solving skills.
- Support innovative marketing campaigns and product launches.
- Quote rates, terms, and fees on Bank products.
- Collect and review all account documentation, ensuring proper completion.
- Perform daily account maintenance such as address changes, check reorders, statement copies, and signer changes.
- Process client requests by mail, including deposits, transfers, and automatic withdrawals.
- Research and resolve account problems by communicating with departments on check encoding errors, uncredited deposits, and interest adjustments.
- Execute routine teller transactions as required.
- Comply with Bank security guidelines and procedures.
- Comply with federal and state regulations.
- Identify potentially fraudulent or elder‑abuse‑suspected transactions and notify Branch Management.
- Take personal responsibility for developing and maintaining necessary knowledge and skills.
- Perform outbound client contact to establish and build relationships.

Complies with all State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements, including BSA, Anti‑Money Laundering OFAC, CIP, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, Sexual Harassment, Information Security, and privacy requirements. This position will elevate suspicious activity to supervisory staff and/or BSA department and complete compliance and technical training workshops as assigned.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred candidate should possess 1 year of teller experience and 1+ years of new accounts/sales experience.
- Must travel to various bank locations.
- Some Saturday hours are required.
