In this role, the Credit Underwriter II manages monitoring and maintenance activities for a portfolio of commercial real estate loans, ensuring adherence to credit policies and contributing to the credit approval process.
Responsibilities- Lead the credit analysis process with support from analysts and associates.
- Partner with Credit Officers, Relationship Management, and Risk teammates to understand structuring needs and requirements.
- Monitor operating performance and financial condition, proactively identifying issues and opportunities.
- Assist in delivery of financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to support loan decision-making.
- Review work of junior teammates to provide feedback and coaching, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and policy procedures.
- Possibly hold primary coverage responsibility for a portfolio of clients with credit approval for certain credit actions.
- Participate in loan structure conversations and complete loan documentation with internal/external legal partners.
- Execute post‑close credit activities, including documenting conditions, administering approved extensions, and coordinating related legal documentation.
- Perform comprehensive portfolio monitoring and maintenance activities, including covenant compliance, construction and collateral reviews, financial and guarantor analysis, and ongoing risk assessment.
- Contribute to process improvement and simplification initiatives to enhance portfolio oversight, credit execution, and operational efficiency.
- 5+ years of commercial credit financial analysis and portfolio management experience.
- 5+ years of financial accounting, financial modeling, or loan structuring.
- Commercial Credit Training.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or similar.
- Certificate from an accredited real estate educational program.
- Large money center bank experience.
- CRE portfolio management experience.

Pay and BenefitsPay range: $80,000.00 - $ annualized salary.
