Position Overview
As a Retirement Plan & Wealth Management Advisor you will focus on servicing and maintaining your block of retirement plan clients. You will respond to emails, coordinate meetings and serve as the primary support for clients, either independently or alongside an existing advisor. Investment review meetings will be quarterly or semi‑annually. You will collaborate with a team to create retirement plan education strategies for plan sponsors, including webinars, individual meetings and newsletters.
Responsibilities- Service and maintain a block of retirement plan clients.
- Meet with retirement plan committees to review investments, fees, fiduciary responsibilities, plan design, and general compliance.
- Provide employee education support and create education strategies such as webinars and newsletters.
- Guide participants on account management, including investments, contributions, rollovers and distributions.
- Maintain daily communication with clients and participants proactively.
- Ensure highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive workplace environment.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
- Strong understanding of the financial services industry and diverse investment products.
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong time‑management and organizational skills; able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners and influence without direct control.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in the retirement plan arena, with understanding of broker/dealer operations and financial products (equities, bonds, options, mutual funds, annuities, insurance, managed accounts).
- Previous experience in an independent financial services culture is preferred.
- Series6 or63 required;
Series
65/66 preferred or ability to obtain.
Expected salary range: $145,000 – $175,000, depending on location and experience. Benefits may include health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance; FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts; paid‑time‑off; bonuses, equity and commissions (for some positions).
