Actuary & Director - Enterprise Assumption Review

Job Overview

We’re actively seeking a talented Actuary & Director – Enterprise Assumption Review to join our Enterprise Actuarial Governance Team. This on‑site role requires 4 days per week in Newport Beach, CA, Omaha, NE, or Charlotte, NC, with one remote day per week. We offer relocation assistance for candidates not currently located near these offices.

As the lead or supporting reviewer of enterprise biometric (or policyholder behavior) assumptions, you will work across multiple product lines and geographic markets worldwide, reinforcing the first line of defense. Your tasks include:

• Identifying and highlighting inconsistencies for assumption developers, and recognizing business implications.
• Ensuring assumptions are well‑rounded and holistic.
• Maintaining comprehensive enterprise‑wide guidance and championing best practices for assumption monitoring, experience studies, and assumption development.
• Collaborating with first‑line development and actuarial communities, and second‑line risk pillars.
• Delivering and supporting comprehensive peer review reports that challenge data selection, analytical methodologies, actuarial judgment, and verification of analysis.
• Engaging in projects to streamline assumption governance, enhance process consistency, and track assumption development.
• Creating regulated processes around assumption impacts and developing PowerPoint slides for assumption updates and approvals.
• Building strong relationships with key stakeholders to enhance assumption monitoring, development, and deployment across various purposes.
