Financial Advisor – Newport Beach, CA
Job OverviewPartner with clients to achieve their long‑term financial goals while building and growing your own practice within the Edward Jones network.
Key Responsibilities- Build relationships and generate new clients through face‑to‑face and virtual sourcing strategies, including residential, business, networking, referrals, social media, and speaking engagements.
- Deeply understand clients needs and priorities to create personalized, comprehensive strategies.
- Oversee branch processes, roles, and responsibilities to ensure a high‑quality, streamlined client experience that meets firm policies, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
- Engage the branch team to create, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan, improving effectiveness and achieving desired results.
- Create an engaging environment of mutual trust, respect, feedback, and accountability within the branch.
- SIE (which can be obtained without firm sponsorship), Series 7 and Series 66 will be required; if not registered, registrations may be obtained at Edward Jones during the paid study period.
- FINRA registrations required within three months; state insurance licenses required.
- Ongoing training and CE required to maintain licenses.
- Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act. Edward Jones is prohibited from hiring individuals with certain specified criminal history as set forth in Section 3(a)(39) and 15(b)(4) and Rule 17a‑3(a)(12) of the Securities and Exchange Act of 1934, and conducts background reviews consistent with FINRA Rule 3110(e).
& Requirements
- A bachelor s degree is strongly preferred or equivalent work‑related experience within securities or financial services industry.
- Experience in financial services and/or sales.
- Financial services registration, licensing, or certification.
- Professional and/or military career progression.
- Interest in financial services and markets.
- Love of learning and determination to succeed.
- Skilled in long‑term relationship building.
- Comfortable with critical thinking.
- Passion for new opportunities.
- Paid training program and initial supplemental salary for the first five years.
