Development Expert

SAP Industries, Inc. seeks a Development Expert at our Newport Beach, CA location responsible for development focusing on concept, design, coding, testing, and quality assurance of complex product features in a development team or responsible for complex product areas.

• Resolve complex issues within own area of expertise and support others in resolving complex issues.
• Define deliverables and provide advice and recommendations on solutions that may affect future design decisions.
• Show technical, business, and/or methodological leadership.
• Improve work methods and engineering skills in the team and beyond to establish state‑of‑the‑art agile software engineering practices.
• Enhance skills beyond own core functional focus and work on other tasks for the benefit of the team.
• Easily move into new topics.
• Utilize expert level and broad overall product and technical knowledge and act internally and externally as a subject matter expert.
• Leverage current and in‑depth knowledge of industry trends.
• If acting as Scrum Master, promote and support Scrum, coach the Development Team in self‑organization, facilitate Scrum events, and act as a servant‑leader.

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with at least 7 years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience; or a Master’s degree with at least 5 years of experience.

• At least 5 years in full‑stack SAP application development & extensibility using S/4 HANA, Classic & RESTful ABAP, BOPF, RAP/CAP, CDS, AMDP, HANA, SAP Gateway, SAP CRM, BTP, Cloud Identity, UI5/Fiori, and SAP Enhancement Framework.
• At least 5 years in multiple integration scenarios including event‑driven (MQTT, AMQP), API‑led (OData, SOAP, REST), and data‑level integration using SLT, Data Intelligence, and HANA SDI.
• At least 5 years in architecture leadership designing complex enterprise systems using TAM, OOAD, and BPMN.
• Experience designing OLAP and OLTP systems using in‑memory, relational, and No
  
  SQL databases, including SAP HANA, Cloud Data Lake, SAP BW, and real‑time and batch integration patterns.
• Knowledge of SAP TPM, CRM, Settlement Management, FiCo, S/4, Supply Chain, MM, and SAP Sales & Distribution.
• At least 1 year of experience in Java and Node.js.
• At least 1 year of experience in integration scenarios including A2A, B2B, EDI, IDoc, X12, and EDIFACT.

Compensation Range Transparency:
The annual base salary range for this position is $202,540–$344,400. The targeted combined range for this position is $247,000–$420,000. Actual compensation will be within that range and dependent on education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, and other factors.
