We’re actively seeking a talented AI Acceleration Lead to join our CMD team in Newport Beach, CA.
As an AI Acceleration Lead you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by coordinating GenAI initiatives, driving cross‑functional alignment, and turning complex inputs into clear plans, communications, and next steps. It combines AI program execution, stakeholder management, and structured problem‑solving to help accelerate adoption and value realization. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 3 people in the CMD division.
Your colleagues will include AI Acceleration Leads fellow professionals. You will partner closely with PMO program leads, Enterprise teams, and CMD advance analytics.
- Support the identification, assessment, and shaping of GenAI opportunities by gathering use cases, conducting initial analysis, and helping prioritize work.
- Coordinate and support execution across AI initiatives, including project tracking, meeting facilitation, vendor coordination, and follow‑up actions.
- Partner with business, analytics, technology, and PMO teams to drive alignment, resolve dependencies, and support delivery across cross‑functional programs.
- Identify and communicate risks, issues, resource needs, and interdependencies, and help develop mitigation or resolution plans.
- Define, monitor, and report on success metrics and value realization in partnership with business stakeholders and program leads.
- Prepare clear, concise communications, leadership updates, presentation materials, and structured summaries to support decision‑making and program visibility.
- Experience supporting AI programs, digital transformation, or analytics initiatives.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to translate between business and technical teams.
- Familiarity with GenAI concepts, enterprise AI platforms, and applied analytics.
- Comfort operating in complex, cross‑functional environments with evolving priorities.
- Experience as project and program management, or technical delivery, including managing complex initiatives from planning through execution.
- Experience in Financial Services and/or Life Insurance.
- Strong business judgment and the ability to identify high‑value AI opportunities.
- Comfort with ambiguity, with a bias toward creating structure, clarity, and momentum.
- Cross‑functional influence and the ability to work effectively across business, analytics, technology, and PMO teams.
- Practical GenAI fluency, including understanding how AI tools, governance, and delivery considerations come together in an enterprise setting.
- A proactive, ownership mindset, with the ability to anticipate risks, drive follow‑through, and keep work moving.
- Understanding of Sales and Marketing processes and workflows is a plus;
Distribution (Sales and Marketing) experience is a plus.
Base Pay Range: $ - $. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
