Key Responsibilities
- Multi‑Cloud Network Design: design and architect network solutions in AWS and Azure, including VPCs, VNets, subnets, routing tables, peering, and security groups, ensuring scalable, highly available, low‑latency architectures.
- Hybrid Connectivity: implement and manage hybrid connectivity between on‑premises data centers and the cloud using AWS Direct Connect, Azure Express Route, and site‑to‑site VPNs.
- Data Center Networking (Cisco ACI): oversee on‑premises data center network infrastructure using Cisco ACI, configuring the fabric, defining application profiles, and integrating with cloud environments.
- Software‑Defined WAN (Cisco Viptela SD‑WAN): administer and optimize Cisco SD‑WAN to connect branch offices and remote sites to data centers and cloud services, monitoring performance and adjusting policies.
- Network Security and Access (Cisco ISE): implement and enforce network access controls with 802.1X authentication, device profiling, Trust Sec segmentation, and user/device access policies, collaborating with cybersecurity teams.
- Routing and Switching: configure and manage Cisco routers and switches (Catalyst/Nexus), handling BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, and Ether Channel for redundant, high‑availability internal networks.
- Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: continuously monitor network performance in cloud and on‑prem environments, use Cloud Watch and Azure Monitor to root‑cause latency, packet loss, and security events, and lead incident response.
- Network Optimization: tune network configurations, implement traffic engineering, QoS policies, and efficient utilization of services such as AWS Transit Gateway and Azure Virtual WAN.
- Documentation and Compliance: create and maintain architecture diagrams, device configurations, network setups, and failover procedures, ensuring compliance with industry and financial services standards.
- Cross‑Team
Collaboration:
collaborate with cloud architects, security engineers, systems engineers, and application teams, providing guidance on network implications for architecture decisions. - Continuous Improvement: stay updated on emerging networking technologies, evaluate new tools or services, and lead or participate in pilot projects for innovative networking solutions.
- Cisco CCIE, routers and switches, Cisco ACI, Cisco SD‑WAN, Cisco ISE
Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in network engineering, with significant enterprise and cloud networking experience.
- Cloud Networking Expertise: hands‑on experience with AWS and Azure networking services, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, NAT Gateway, Transit Gateway, VNets, UDRs, network security groups, Azure Firewall, and VPN Gateway.
- Cisco Routing & Switching: extensive experience configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting Cisco hardware and software in large‑scale environments.
- Software‑Defined Networking Technologies: proficiency with Cisco ACI, SD‑WAN (Viptela), and ISE, deploying policy‑driven segmentation and secure connectivity.
- Network Security: strong knowledge of segmentation, ACLs, VPN encryption, and firewall integration, with experience meeting strict security and compliance requirements.
- Certifications:
active Cisco CCIE and at least one cloud networking certification (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking) required.
Entry Level
Pay and Benefits- Pay range: $90.00 - $110.00/hr
