We are seeking an eager, creative Manager, Events to join our Marketing team reporting to the Vice President, Professional Education. This role is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and execution of internal and external company meetings while managing and developing a direct report.

This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys balancing big‑picture thinking with hands‑on execution, and is energized by building memorable, on‑brand experiences. In this role, you will help bring the Evolus brand to life while building scalable processes and a strong events function to support a growing business.

Essential duties and responsibilities where you'll make the biggest impact…
  • Lead the end‑to‑end strategy, planning, and execution of a portfolio of internal and external events, including HQ visits, trade shows, sales meetings, and executive programs.
  • Own event forecasting and budget management, ensuring fiscal responsibility while delivering high‑impact experiences.
  • Manage and develop one direct report, providing coaching, clear direction, performance feedback, and professional development support.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to cross‑functional stakeholders, translating business and marketing objectives into compelling event strategies.
  • Lead cross‑functional planning teams for large‑scale, high‑visibility events, establishing timelines, deliverables, roles, and accountability.
  • Oversee venue and vendor strategy, including site selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing performance management to maximize value and quality.
  • Guide creative direction in partnership with internal teams, aligning on event themes, branding, messaging, and attendee experience.
  • Establish and continuously improve processes, tools, and best practices to drive consistency, efficiency, and scalability across the Events function.
  • Provide leadership during live events, making real‑time decisions, resolving issues proactively, and ensuring flawless execution.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing strategic priorities with operational demands in a deadline‑driven environment.
  • Analyze event outcomes and capture learnings to continuously raise the bar for future programs.
  • Travel to and support off‑site event execution as required.
  • Support additional initiatives and special projects aligned with priorities.
  • Office location – Newport Beach. Hybrid schedule:
    Monday and Friday remote;
    Tuesday‑Thursday onsite.
  • Travel Requirement:
    Up to 40%
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills You’ll Bring to the Team…
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Broad‑based meeting and event planning experience (non‑pharmaceutical experience also qualifies).
  • Sales meeting and incentive trip planning experience.
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring others, with a passion for developing talent.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across functions and levels, including senior leadership.
  • Highly detail‑oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to think creatively and strategically while driving projects through execution.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and thriving in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
