JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Project Manager will lead and support HR-related projects focused on data, processes, people, and technologies across the enterprise. This role will oversee cross-functional initiatives from planning through implementation, ensuring successful delivery of complex programs within scope, schedule, and budget. The position requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business units.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive cross-functional enterprise projects involving HR data, systems, and operations.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and supporting documentation to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Lead and influence project sponsors, stakeholders, and teams to achieve project goals.
- Establish and maintain scope, resource plans, risk assessments, and progress reporting.
- Facilitate meetings, project reviews, and status updates for stakeholders and leadership.
- Create and maintain an Epic and Features roadmap aligned with strategic business goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define, prioritize, and track Epics and Features based on business value.
- Serve as liaison between corporate and divisional teams, fostering effective communication and decision-making.
- Support organizational change management related to HR technology and process improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required; MBA preferred.
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in project or program management.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies; ability to apply Scrum, Kanban, and Lean practices.
- Experience breaking down Epics into manageable Features and user stories.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on risk and process improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities; skilled in stakeholder influence and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated experience managing HR-related projects (talent acquisition, HR operations, compensation, etc.).
- Experience working with cross-functional and vendor teams, including IT.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Trello, Smartsheet, and Planview.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
- PMP and/or Agile certifications preferred.
- Global Human Capital Management (HCM) experience and Workday implementation experience strongly preferred.
