Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Wound Ostomy Nurse (RN) with strong expertise in wound care nursing, ostomy care, continence care, skin care, pressure ulcer management, and acute wound care. The nurse will work across acute care inpatient and outpatient clinical settings.

This position requires advanced competency in wound assessment, wound treatment, stoma care, tissue healing, post-surgical care, and negative pressure wound therapy (Wound Vac).

• Provide comprehensive wound care, ostomy care, stoma care, and skin integrity assessments
• Manage complex wounds, including acute wounds, chronic wounds, and post-surgical wounds
• Deliver treatment such as dressing changes, Wound Vac / Negative Pressure Wound Therapy, and advanced wound treatments
• Educate patients and families on wound management, ostomy care, and continence care
• Serve as clinical support to staff regarding wound care protocols, product selections, and best practices
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tissue healing, skin breakdown prevention, and pressure ulcer management
• Assess and document Stage 3+ pressure injuries
• Report and track hospital-acquired pressure injuries (HAPI)
• Support hospital initiatives to reduce wound-related complications and improve patient safety
• Provide direct patient care, patient education, and clinical guidance.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 4 years of clinical nursing experience (acute care preferred)
• 2 years of experience in wound/ostomy nursing preferred

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) – California

• Wound and Ostomy Certification (WOCN, CWOCN, or equivalent) required
