Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail center, where you will monitor and patrol indoor and outdoor areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist guests and tenants with directions and concerns.

You will document observations, support access control, and communicate clearly with your team. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking structures and/or lots, loading zones, and perimeter areas; document notable conditions per site procedures.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including handling disturbances, assisting with lost and found inquiries, and coordinating with property management and/or local responders as needed.

+ Monitor for suspicious or unusual activity, help to deter theft and/or property damage, and report hazards or maintenance issues observed during patrols to the appropriate parties.

+ Complete detailed shift activity reports, incident reports, and/or access and key control logs, and assist with directing pedestrian and vehicle traffic during peak hours, special events, and/or deliveries.

* + A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

+ Pepper spray certification is preferred.

+ CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

+ Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
