AV Lead Technician

We are seeking a Lead Technician with strong installation and leadership capabilities who can manage residential AV projects, mentor junior technicians, and serve as a client‑facing representative. While programming experience is a bonus, it is not required for this role—physical install mastery and the ability to lead on‑site are the top priorities.

• Lead installation of residential AV, lighting, shading, surveillance, network/Wi‑Fi, and automation systems
• Supervise and mentor junior technicians and helpers on job sites
• Coordinate with the owner and project team to ensure efficient scheduling and execution
• Serve as a professional, client‑facing representative during installations
• Ensure installs are completed accurately, cleanly, and to the highest standard
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently
• Collaborate on continuous improvement of field operations

• 5+ years of hands‑on AV installation experience, including structured wiring, mounting, terminations, rack building, and basic networking
• Experience leading or mentoring team members in a residential setting
• Familiarity with Lutron, Control4, Savant, or Crestron (proficiency in at least one platform strongly preferred)
• Strong networking skills, including configuration and troubleshooting of wired and wireless networks
• Excellent communication skills and client‑facing demeanor
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail
• Capable of working independently and managing small teams
• Valid driver’s license
• Programming experience is a plus but not required

• Hourly Rate:$34–$45/hour depending on skill set and certifications
• Overtime opportunities available
